Step 1: Workshop (Open to Everyone – Public and EENC Clients)

This two-hour seminar-style workshop is designed to help participants understand employers’ expectations for their employees in the job market. The workshop will cover how to read job descriptions effectively and provide quick steps for creating customized resumes that stand out among the hundreds of applications employers receive. Additionally, you will learn tips for creating a hybrid resume that emphasizes transferable skills.

Step 2 to 6: Only open to EENC client only

One-on-One Resume Building Session (Step 2)

In this one-on-one session with our staff, you will have the opportunity to create or modify your resume using the tips you learned in Step 1. If you feel confident in building your resume independently based on those instructions, you can choose to skip this step and move directly to Step 3. If you do skip this step, please remember to submit your resume for approval.

Finalizing Your Resume (Step 3)

After creating your resume in Step 2, one of our resume experts will review it with you and help refine it before you move on to the interview preparation.

Interview Techniques Workshop (Step 4)

Join our two-hour workshop designed to equip you with techniques for preparing for and adapting to various interview situations. We will discuss topics such as appropriate attire, a professional handshake, and key responses that you should and should not give during interviews.

One-on-One Interview Preparation (Step 5)

In this personalized session, you will enhance your interview skills and learn to effectively respond to common interview questions.

Mock Interview (Step 6)

During the mock interview, please dress as you would for a formal interview. You will be interviewed by two of our staff members who will ask questions based on the resume you submitted. This session will be recorded on your cell phone, so please bring your phone with you. This recording will allow us to review your performance and address any mistakes you may make during the interview.

Please note: If travel distance is a concern, you may complete Steps 1, 2, and 3 on the same day, and then finish Steps 4, 5, and 6 on another day. If you choose to do multiple steps in one day, please be prepared to stay longer and make arrangements in advance with the workshop coordinator or your consultants.

All workshops are free, so please be respectful of the time and the spot reserved for you. It is important to arrive on time for the workshops. If you miss multiple classes, you will be removed from our job search help classes list.
